silence and coldness at the heart of Jericho

Grantham House sits almost in the middle of Jericho. For more than 35 years it provided sheltered housing and community to older people from the local area. Three years ago it was closed down and the remaining residents were relocated. Some died. For 3 years it has been a hauntingly silent, cold presence at the heart of a buzzing community, its stories locked away behind shuttered windows, or banished from the community like the former residents moved to the margins of the area.
